On the occasion of the publication of her new book "Schamlos" ("Shameless"), former ÖVP Secretary General and current Vienna City Council member Laura Sachslehner takes a political swing at krone.tv: "We need an asylum cap of zero in Austria. In the past, we have already more than fulfilled our duty of solidarity towards asylum seekers."

But now no one should be added: "Not a single asylum seeker." When asked whether this is a copy of the Hungarian approach, she replies: "People can have different opinions about Orban. But he is on the right track when it comes to illegal migration."

In "Shameless", she also calls for migrants to take an "Austrian oath": "This must be done right at the beginning of their stay. We have already achieved a lot in terms of integration. But there are still many people we can't integrate. We have to react with full force."

People who violate Austrian values despite having taken an oath should be deported quickly. When asked whether this means deportation, her answer is clear: "Yes, immediately."

Although she does not see herself as a "hardliner", she wants to address things exactly as they are. And "the full rigor of the rule of law must apply".
