After extensive police investigations, the "Bubi Gang" has now been tracked down by the police. They are accused of committing a total of 17 burglaries in vending machines, cellars, stores and victim boxes as well as more than 20 cases of damage to property and four thefts throughout the city of Graz between October 2023 and mid-January 2024.
Swastika smeared on house wall
The boys are also suspected of having smeared a swastika on a house wall. The criminal acts specifically include thefts of cell phones, thefts of various items from garages and carports as well as damage to buildings, mopeds and small motorcycles through graffiti. There were also break-ins into cellar compartments, wood and garden sheds, 24-hour stores, cars and the breaking open of chewing gum and toy vending machines. In one case, the boys even damaged a toilet facility in a parish by detonating fireworks.
Nightly forays under the influence of alcohol
The four boys are partly housed in youth hostels and went on their nightly forays in different constellations and often under the influence of alcohol. The objects of the crimes and the offenses were chosen and committed at random. During questioning in the presence of their guardians and parents, the quartet confessed in part. The charges will be filed with the public prosecutor's office in Graz.
