Tractor in flames: Styrian prevented major fire

Late on Monday evening, a 63-year-old man from Stainz was shocked to discover that the tractor on his farm had started to burn. His farm building was threatening to catch fire! The courageous Styrian farmer drove the burning vehicle outside and was thus able to prevent a fire in the building.

On Monday evening, a farmer in Stainz in the Deutschlandsberg district showed both brains and courage. At around 11 p.m., the 63-year-old noticed that his tractor parked in the farm building had started to burn. A technical defect in the engine compartment was probably to blame.

Rescue at the last second
Without further ado, he decided to quickly drive the already burning vehicle out of the warehouse, thus preventing a fire in the building. Just a few seconds later, the tractor was in flames, reports Georg Teppernegg from the Mettersdorf volunteer fire department.

Fire department only had to extinguish the fire
While the 63-year-old began extinguishing the fire, the Mettersdorf fire department rushed to the scene. 16 firefighters with two vehicles only had to carry out extinguishing work - the farmer had prevented the worst. No people or animals were injured, but the tractor was completely burnt out.
