Truck driver marches to drug test with fake urine

Someone literally wanted to play the police for fools: A 32-year-old truck driver (!) gave fake urine during a traffic check in Hall in Tyrol on Thursday as part of a drug test. The hoax was discovered - he ultimately tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.

The 32-year-old Croatian was targeted by the police late on Thursday afternoon because he had been fiddling with his smartphone while driving. After the truck driver was pulled out of traffic, he was found to have "symptoms of possible impairment due to addictive substances", according to the investigators.

The officers discovered that the man had been using artificial urine.

Dizziness revealed after first test
The truck driver probably thought he was well prepared for such a case. And everything initially went according to plan. A voluntary urine test was negative. But then the fraud was discovered. "The officers discovered that the man had used artificial urine," the investigators continued.

Tested positive for THC and cocaine
In a second test, the suspect tested positive for THC and cocaine. "A clinical examination by the medical officer then also revealed impairment by narcotics and fatigue."

The Croatian was provisionally stripped of his driver's license. Corresponding charges followed and hefty fines!
