It's never happened before! Manchester City's goal machine Erling Haaland signs a record contract with the Premier League giants.

Now it's official! Erling Haaland extends his contract at Manchester City and signs a deal until summer 2034 (!).

No more exit clause
"Sorry, I'm here to stay," said Haaland in a video, addressed to the opposing teams' defenders. According to "The Athletic", a get-out clause has been removed from the contract, which most recently ran until 2027.

A windfall beckons
An absolute record salary also beckons for the 24-year-old. According to the Daily Mail, the Norwegian is set to earn just over €50 million per year. Never before has a Manchester City player earned more, and it would also be one of the best-paid contracts in soccer of all time.

"It was an easy decision," explained the attacker. At the end of his new mega-contract at City, the Norwegian international would be 34 years old and would have played twelve years in Manchester.

Strong record
Haaland moved from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund for €20 million in 2020 and joined City two and a half years later for €60 million. Since then, he has won the Premier League title twice and the Champions League in 2023. Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 games for Manchester to date.
