A global study shows the time lost per driver. Vienna does not do badly in comparison with similarly sized cities, but it does not do particularly well either. An expert explains where the problems lie in the capital and what the solutions would be. 

The typical driver in Vienna lost a total of 48 hours in traffic jams last year. That is around six hours more than in 2023, which can be partly attributed to the closure of the westbound exit.
