Since January 1, 2025, star coach Jürgen Klopp, who worked at Liverpool FC for many years, has been the new Head of Global Soccer at the billion-euro group Red Bull. His official presentation is imminent and will take place in Salzburg!

Jürgen Klopp will make his first public appearance for Red Bull next week in Salzburg. The former successful Liverpool coach will be introduced by the drinks group in his new role as Head of Global Soccer at a press conference in Hangar-7 on Tuesday afternoon (2.00 pm). A spokesperson confirmed this to APA on Tuesday. A large international media presence is expected. The press conference will be held mainly in English.

Klopp officially took up his new position as Head of Football at Red Bull at the beginning of the year. Before that, the German had taken a six-month break from the soccer business after leaving Liverpool. His role at the Bulls is of a strategic nature; the 57-year-old is not expected to play a role in the day-to-day business of a club.

From Brazil to Japan
In addition to Austria's runners-up Salzburg, where Red Bull GmbH is the main sponsor, the Group's network includes top German club RB Leipzig, the New York Red Bulls in the North American Major League Soccer (MLS), Red Bull Bragantino in Brazil and Omiya Ardija in Japan. Red Bull also acquired shares in the long-established English club Leeds United last year. The company is a sponsor of FC Torino and a minority owner of second division club Paris FC.
