The Kartitsch Mountain Christmas is contemplative, romantic and beautiful every year and many mountain friends of the "Bergkrone" traveled to Kartitsch from all parts of Carinthia and East Tyrol on Saturday.

In glorious mountain weather, the many mountain friends climbed from the Klammerwirt in Kartitsch, Austria's first winter hiking village, to a festive Christmas service on the 2115 meter high village mountain. This has been a fixture for locals and guests of the East Tyrolean mountain village for many years.

Following the devotion with pastor Roland Stadler, the guests went to the mountain Christmas, where traditional crafts were shown - and how Christmas used to be celebrated in the mountain villages of East Tyrol and Carinthia. Mayor Josef Außerlechner and organizer Leo Klammer thanked the Krone and Roland Stadler for the village mountain hike.
