There's no such thing! After his retirements in Sölden (giant slalom) and Levi (slalom), Manuel Feller also finished the home slalom in Gurgl without any points. Already in the first run on Sunday, the Tyrolean fell after a few gates ...

In six runs so far this year, Feller has only been able to get into the binding four times. While last year's slalom World Cup winner was already eliminated in the first run at the season opener in Sölden, he at least made it to the second run last Sunday - where he was once again thwarted by a thread.

Still close to Noel at the top
One week later, he finally managed to score his first World Cup points. With bib number six, Feller tackled Clement Noel's outstanding best time and remained close on the Frenchman's heels at the first intermediate time. A few seconds later, however, the working day was over for the man from Fieberbrunn, and after three World Cup starts Austria's greatest slalom hopeful is still without a point ...

Feller himself takes it in his stride, saying in the ORF interview: "That's slalom racing, unfortunately that's part of it." He turned into the hairpin with too little height, "then it was over straight away." However, the 32-year-old doesn't want to let the botched start to the season get him down and wants to keep his self-confidence high. "It'll be fine," Feller remains relaxed.
