Car crashes into house facade after serious accident

A serious accident occurred on the Salzachtalbundesstraße near Bad Vigaun on Friday. Two cars collided, one of which was subsequently thrown against a house wall.

A 47-year-old man from Salzburg was reversing out of a driveway onto the B159 at Tauglmauth. A man from Hallein (25), who was driving on the main road, was unable to avoid the collision. Both cars were severely damaged in the collision, one was even thrown against the wall of the house. 

Both drivers were injured and had to be taken to hospital. The B159 had to be closed to all traffic for around one and a half hours while the Kuchl and Bad Vigaun fire departments cleared up the accident.
