Schweinsteiger warns: “Otherwise something could happen”

Unrest in Dortmund! After the cup defeat in Wolfsburg on Tuesday evening, the crisis is intensifying and the pressure on coach Nuri Sahin is growing. "They have to deliver over the next two or three match days, otherwise something could happen," warns former player Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Champions League participants suffered their next setback with a 0:1 after extra time against VfL Wolfsburg. BVB's third consecutive defeat in a competitive match ended a run of 13 consecutive cup round of 16 appearances. Marcel Sabitzer and Co. thus lost their first and probably most realistic chance of winning the title this season.

Backing is still available
BVB is deep in crisis. It's only logical that coach Nuri Sahin is in the spotlight. "It's not about my personal situation, not about me, but about the club. We can't do anything else but carry on," he emphasized on Sky.

He does not yet have to fear for his job. "We will stand together. We'll get through this together," said sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Difficult days for Dortmund
ARD expert Bastian Schweinsteiger is harshly critical of Dortmund's performance. "Too little. Clearly not enough. They didn't find any good solutions to play through with the ball. They didn't play quickly," was the former professional's analysis. "There are difficult days ahead for Dortmund!"
