Driver with a test driver’s license races through the local area

A Syrian probationary driver's license holder turned out to be an irresponsible speeder during a trip in the Mühlviertel. The 25-year-old was measured driving at almost twice the speed limit in the local area. The car could not be taken away from him. Police officers stopped the speeding driver and confiscated his driver's license.

The 25-year-old Syrian from Marchtrenk was driving his car on the Leonfeldner Straße (B 126) in the municipality of Hellmonsödt on Monday. He apparently had no idea that police officers had positioned themselves there with a laser pistol. 

Although he also had a test driver's license, the young man stepped on the gas pedal. According to the records, his car was measured at 94 km/h (after deducting the measurement tolerance) in the local area. The traffic police immediately stopped the speeding driver and also tested him for alcohol, but the result was negative.

Nevertheless, the Syrian naturally had to surrender his driver's license, which was just not enough to have his vehicle confiscated. The 25-year-old will now be reported to the police and will have to pay a hefty fine for his reckless driving.
