Turning with tractor ended fatally for driver (85)

Drama for an 85-year-old local man in Ötztal: The pensioner had a fatal accident while trying to turn around with his tractor on a mountain road.

The disaster took its course at around 12.50 p.m.: The 85-year-old was driving his tractor uphill on a local road in Huben/Längenfeld. According to later information from witnesses, he turned his vehicle in a left-hand bend in order to drive downhill again.

Over the edge of the road when turning
In the course of this turning maneuver, the tractor went over the edge of the road and subsequently crashed about ten meters into a wooded area. Despite resuscitation by the emergency doctor who was called, the man died at the scene of the accident.
