Unbelievable: driving through a highway tunnel on an e-scooter

You have to come up with this idea first! A 36-year-old drove through the Wilten tunnel on the A12 Inntal highway on Wednesday. His means of transportation was unusual: an e-scooter! The police were able to pull the man out of traffic.

At around 10.20 a.m. on Wednesday, the police received a report that a man was driving through the Wilten Tunnel on the A12 in Innsbruck on an e-scooter. A joke? Unfortunately not. As it turned out, a 36-year-old man was actually driving the scooter on the highway.

Charges follow
A police patrol from the Schönberg highway police station was able to find the man, a 36-year-old Ukrainian, near the Innsbruck West exit and remove him from the highway. Reports to the relevant authorities will follow.
