S-Link launches further information offensive

On November 10, the residents of the central Salzburg region will be able to vote on the implementation of the mammoth S-Link project. They will decide whether the - partly underground - extension of the local line to Hallein will actually be built. 

Those responsible for the project are once again inviting the public to information evenings in advance:

• October 3, 2024, 4 to 7 p.m., Gemeindesaal Anif, Aniferstraße 10, 5081 Anif
• October 4, 2024, 4 to 7 pm, Karl-Böhm-Saal in the Festspielhaus, Hofstallgasse 1, 5020 Salzburg
• October 7, 2024, 4 to 7 p.m., Salzberghalle Hallein, Zatloukalstraße 1, 5400 Hallein

In recent months, the S-LINK project company has conducted a dialog process with the public, during which several events were held. Citizens were able to express their opinions on the planned routes, the alignment, the station design and accompanying measures.

Hundreds of questions and suggestions were received, often on topics such as cycle paths, parking spaces and park & ride facilities. Access to stations and station names were also discussed and revised by the project company. 

The new variants are now being developed in terms of planning, taking numerous criteria into account. The new corridor and further details on the S-Link project will be presented to the public at the beginning of October.
