Is the region's economy fit for the future? This question was examined by renowned entrepreneurs at an exclusive business talk.

The economic region of Upper Carinthia offers companies a great deal of potential - but there is a lack of a unique selling point and a lack of political commitment to the region: at a networking meeting, leading entrepreneurs from the region discussed the future of the economy in Upper Carinthia.

At the invitation of the companies CM Brands and Smarter Software, the future challenges were discussed alongside the locational advantages of the Upper Carinthia economic region. Securing the workforce is an issue that will continue to occupy Upper Carinthian companies.

Strategy for a unique selling point
The business talk also covered the use of synergies between tourism and industry and discussed forward-looking strategies to strengthen the local economy in the future. "We need a long-term strategy to implement specific projects that will make our region unique in the long term," said Josef Ortner, CEO of Ortner Reinraumtechnik.
