15 years together – now Olympic champion married

They have lived side by side for 15 years - now they have got married: Olympic ski champion Frida Hansdotter has married her boyfriend Richard Jansson (former professional ice hockey player)!

"15 years together. I can't imagine a better celebration than this. Newly married," Hansdotter happily announces via Instagram. She also added a wedding photo showing the two of them with big smiles on their faces.

"Congratulations to you both," Anna Veith comments on her former companion's post. Michaela Kirchgasser and Eva-Maria Brem are also happy for the couple. Hansdotter and Jansson became parents to a son in December 2020. When their daughter was born at the beginning of the year, their family happiness was perfect.

Slalom her showpiece discipline
In sporting terms, the now 38-year-old celebrated her greatest success at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang with the gold medal in slalom. She also won silver twice and bronze three times at the World Championships and the small slalom crystal globe. In March 2019, she hung up her skis and is now visibly enjoying her family life.
