The driver ignored the request and drove away from the patrol car. The man from Flachgau sped through the city before finally joining the highway in the direction of Vienna.

On the exit at Salzburg Mitte, the drunk driver touched a crash barrier, drove on anyway and was caught by the police at his home address shortly afterwards. The alcohol test was positive: 1.08 per mille. The driver's license is now gone for a long time - and several charges will follow.
