Liverpool FC win the Premier League showpiece. At Old Trafford, the "Reds" did not give their great rivals Manchester United the slightest chance and won 3:0.

Liverpool clearly won the English Premier League clash at arch-rivals Manchester United. Coach Arne Slot's side won 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday after an impressive performance and celebrated their third win in the third round. Crystal Palace, meanwhile, made their first start of the young season, drawing 1-1 with Chelsea in the London derby after two defeats.

Liverpool were more powerful and efficient in the English top match. While an early goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold was disallowed by the VAR due to Mohamed Salah being marginally offside (7th minute), Luis Diaz scored a brace before the break. He first headed home a Salah cross (35') before following up with a low shot (42') after the Egyptian had again provided the groundwork. While United were fogging up their chances, Salah crowned his strong performance with the 3:0 (56').

Strong start to the "post-Klopp era"
The Reds are in second place behind champions Manchester City with an unblemished nine points and a 7-0 scoreline. Manchester United are 14th with just three points after their second defeat.

Crystal Palace initially trailed at Stamford Bridge. Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson put Chelsea ahead in the first half after a quick counter-attack via Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer (25'). After the break, Eberechi Eze equalized with a long-range shot via the inside of the bar (54'). Chelsea are 11th on four points, while Palace are 16th on one point. Meanwhile, Newcastle United celebrated a 2-1 home win over Tottenham Hotspur and are fifth on seven points.
