Car against e-bike: 62-year-old Weizer injured

On Sunday afternoon, there was a collision between a car and an e-bike in Mortantsch (Weiz district). A 50-year-old car driver had overlooked the 62-year-old cyclist, who crashed into the windshield and suffered undetermined injuries.

Cyclists are often the invisible ones in traffic: on Sunday afternoon, a 50-year-old driver wanted to turn left out of a driveway onto the L 356 when he suddenly crashed.

According to his own statements, he overlooked the e-bike rider who was traveling on the country road.

Head on into the windshield
The 62-year-old from the district of Weiz (Styria) crashed into the front left mudguard and then hit his head against the windscreen.

He sustained undetermined injuries to his face and had to be taken to Weiz Regional Hospital by ambulance. Neither driver was under the influence of alcohol.
