Car driver overlooked cyclist when turning

A 50-year-old cyclist suffered injuries of indeterminate severity in a traffic accident in Bregenz on Friday afternoon - he had to be taken to hospital by the ambulance service. 

As is so often the case, the cause of the accident was a brief moment of carelessness: a car driver (56) wanted to turn left at the junction of Rheinstraße and Wolfordstraße at around 4.45 p.m., but probably overlooked the approaching cyclist - a collision occurred, the cyclist fell and remained lying injured on the ground.

He was taken to Bregenz Regional Hospital by the ambulance. A breathalyzer test carried out on both parties involved in the accident was negative.
