Console sold, never delivered: Fraudster unmasked

After two cases of fraud in early May, the police in the Tyrolean district of Kitzbühel have now had a successful investigation: they were able to track down a suspect who allegedly collected money for a games console twice on an online platform but never delivered it. 

At the beginning of May, two victims were caught by the initially unknown perpetrator: they transferred money to him for a games console that he had offered for sale on an online platform, but the device was never delivered. When contact with the seller broke off, both victims reported the crime to the police. 

Suspect provided no information
The Fieberbrunn police station began investigations and were able to track down a 34-year-old suspect. According to the police, he did not provide any information about the facts of the case when questioned. He will now be reported to the public prosecutor's office.

The damage amounts to several hundred euros.
