Thieves targeted a chamois in Kitzbühel

A group of men in the Tyrolean chamois town of Kitzbühel made a curious haul late on Thursday. The thieves unscrewed the figure of the Kitzbühel chamois in front of a hotel and stole it. There is no trace of the perpetrators.

The group, which according to the police probably consisted of four to six men, struck shortly after 11 pm. They were after a special and curious piece of booty: the figure of the Kitzbühel chamois, which was attached to a stone on the forecourt of the Grandhotel Kitzbühel.

The damage caused is in the four-digit euro range.
