Motorcyclist crashed into truck and was killed

In Alberndorf, a truck driver (24) turned left into a road at a junction. This resulted in a fatal collision with a 69-year-old motorcyclist. The biker succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.

Tragic accident in Alberndorf in Upper Austria on Friday morning. A truck driver from Tragwein drove off to the left at a junction, but apparently overlooked a motorcyclist. The 69-year-old from Altenberg collided with the truck and was thrown about ten meters into an adjacent field.

Witnesses immediately provided first aid
Oncoming road users immediately informed the emergency services and provided first aid. Shortly afterwards, despite resuscitation measures, the emergency doctor was only able to determine that the 69-year-old had died.
