Kipyegon sets new world record over 1,500 m

In the last competition of the day at the Diamond League in Paris at the Charlety Stadium, Kenyan Faith Kipyegon was seven hundredths faster than her last world record in the 1,500 m, winning in 3:49.04 minutes. 

Kipyegon won thanks to a brilliant final lap ahead of Australia's Jessica Hull (3:50.83). The two-time Olympic champion and mother of a six-year-old daughter set the previous record in Florence in June 2023.

At the Olympic Games, the athletics competitions will take place at the Stade de France St. Denis.
