Toni Kroos' performance in the European Championship quarter-final clash with Spain could have been over after just six minutes. But the German was lucky, as referee Anthony Taylor spared him.

Kroos was already too late in the third minute and hit Spain's Pedri. A violent foul, but Taylor left the card out. The excitement on the Spanish side was great. Pedri was sent off and Dani Olmo came on for him.

Just a few minutes later, Kroos was once again the center of attention when he stepped on Lamine Yamal's foot. Once again, there was no yellow card.
