Ahead of the European Championship round of 16 clash with the Austrian team in Leipzig on Tuesday, the test match in Vienna on March 26 is still fresh in the Turks' minds. "We haven't forgotten that. To be honest, there's a wound inside me," explained Salih Özcan on Friday.

"Everyone is at a better level mentally now!"
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who played one hour in Vienna, believes his team is ready for revenge. "It was a friendly and the coach tried to do something," he said of the match. "Everyone is at a better mental level now," emphasized Özcan.

It is hardly surprising that he expects Austria to be a "good team" and is preparing for a "very difficult game". On Tuesday, however, he wants to show that the test match was just a slip-up. "The 1:6 really left its mark, so I have great ambition for the current game. We'll treat it like a final match," explained Marcel Sabitzer's club colleague.

"Heavy defeat gives us motivation!"
Striker Kenan Yildiz, who played through three months ago, has not yet put the defeat behind him either. "We'll be playing against a very good team, we saw that in the friendly. We suffered a heavy defeat and that gives us motivation," said the Juventus attacker.
