Hungary player Varga back at home

Following his serious facial injury and subsequent operation, Hungary's team player Barnabas Varga was discharged from hospital in Stuttgart on Wednesday. He is already back home. 

Varga's head collided with the upper arm of the opposing goalkeeper during his team's 1-0 win over Scotland in the European Championship match on Sunday. He suffered a concussion, several broken bones in his face and also lost consciousness.

Surgery without complications
The 29-year-old underwent surgery and there were no complications, said the Hungarian team's spokesman. Varga's club Ferencvaros Budapest posted a picture of Varga and his partner on social media after his arrival in Hungary.

Varga, who is waving at the camera, can still see the consequences of the accident: There are plasters under his right eye. Bandages are also still visible on his arms. He announced on the club website that he would be taking a break for a few weeks. After that, he wants to concentrate on his recovery.
