Third match day in the "Krone" league - and yet another new leader: after St. Johann II and then defending champion Mittersill III, record champion Gries is now in first place in the Pinzgau regional curling championship. Just one point behind: Annaberg, who made the most of their home advantage.

After the six games on their own track, they have a whopping 17.4 points more in their account! "We simply made good use of our home advantage," says Annaberg Moar Alex Hirscher, explaining the high score so far this season. With which the mega leap from tenth to second place was achieved. Only one point is missing from the new leader Gries - after Mittersill III's crash in Annaberg.

Matthias Bergschober, Stefan Weiss and Co. were even in with a chance of finishing in first place. "But I messed up the last shot a bit," admits Hirscher. So the fourth "Schneider" didn't materialize and there was only one normal game. Consolation motto: "Better to be the hunter than the hunted." Round four still awaits on June 30, then it's off to the summer.
