Emergency braking: four passengers on bus injured

A bus had to make an emergency stop in Graz on Tuesday afternoon to prevent an accident. Four passengers were slightly injured, one 17-year-old had to go to hospital. Apparently a car driver gave way to the bus.

At 12.30 p.m., the number 34 bus was traveling north on Pestalozzistraße. The driver, a 46-year-old man, was just about to cross the junction with Zimmerplatzgasse when a car driver (31) approached from the west. According to the police, the driver of the car probably gave way to the bus.

The bus driver slammed on the brakes with full force and just managed to avoid the collision. However, four passengers fell and sustained minor injuries. A 17-year-old from Graz had to be taken to the university hospital for treatment.
