Italian woman abandons child because of a bad grade

An angry Italian woman abandoned her daughter on the side of the road because of a bad Latin grade. The police found the girl and the mother was charged.

A patrol car crew discovered the 16-year-old high school student by chance on the side of a busy bypass road near Rome on Monday afternoon, as Italian newspapers reported on Tuesday.

"We were arguing about a bad grade in Latin and she threw me out of the car," the girl told the officers. The police officers took the schoolgirl to the police station. Criminal charges were filed against the mother for child abuse.
