Father and son (4) get stuck on via ferrata

Practice makes perfect, thought a father who set off on the "Zimmereben" family via ferrata with his son (4). However, it was too much for the little one. The mountain rescue team rescued the father and son team from their predicament.

At around 1.30 p.m. on Friday, a German father (46) and his son (4) climbed the "Zimmereben" family via ferrata in Schwendau in Tyrol. This family via ferrata has a difficulty level of A/B. The two were each equipped with a via ferrata set.

Child could neither go forward nor back
When the child lost his strength in the middle section of the via ferrata at a point with difficulty level "B" and was unable to go either forwards or backwards, the father made an emergency call. Father and son were subsequently rescued unharmed from the via ferrata by the Mayrhofen mountain rescue team.
