Serious accident on Thursday in Obsteig in the Tyrolean district of Imst! A mountain biker (63) collided with a dog on a forest path. The man was seriously injured in the subsequent fall. The four-legged friend was luckier.

The accident happened at around 11.40 am. The 63-year-old was riding his mountain bike on a forest path in an easterly direction. "He collided with one of the two off-leash dogs belonging to a 34-year-old local man", according to the police.

The dog suffered no obvious injuries.
