Motorcycle and car collided: girl injured

The police are looking for witnesses after a traffic accident on Monday in Erl, Tyrol (Kufstein district). There was a collision between a car and a motorcycle in which a girl (14) sitting on the passenger seat was injured. The driver of the car only stopped briefly and then simply drove on.

The accident happened shortly after 3 pm. A young local man (17), who was accompanied by the 14-year-old, was riding his motorcycle on the L209 Erler Straße coming from the village center of Erl in the direction of Niederndorf.

"According to the motorcyclist, a car in front of him slowed down at the carpentry shop there and indicated to the right. When the 17-year-old overtook the car, it suddenly accelerated again and then turned left towards Oberweidau," said the police.

The driver of the car stopped briefly and then drove on.

The 14-year-old then went to Kufstein Hospital on her own. The police are now looking for possible witnesses to the accident and the driver of the car.
