Drunken wrong-way driver stopped in underground parking garage

On Monday evening, the police in the Bavarian town of Lindau on Lake Constance were called to an underground parking garage. An obviously drunk driver was driving there as a wrong-way driver.

On Monday evening at around 8 p.m., a car driver wanted to leave an underground parking garage in Lindauer Kemptener Straße. The problem: according to the police, the 46-year-old was clearly under the influence of alcohol and was also driving on the wrong side of the road as a wrong-way driver.

Attentive witnesses then alerted the police, who were able to determine a blood alcohol level of more than 2.5 per mille in the car driver during a breathalyzer test. The officers forbade the man to continue driving, ordered a blood sample to be taken and confiscated his driver's license.
