Graz man (65) died in his sleep after fire

The Graz fire department found a 65-year-old man dead in his apartment in Eggenberg on Thursday morning. The cause of the fire has already been clarified. 

Tragic death in Graz-Eggenberg on Thursday morning: a resident of an apartment building smelled a burning smell and called the fire department. They opened an apartment and found a 65-year-old man motionless. The emergency doctor could only determine his death.

According to investigations, the man had probably fallen asleep on his mattress on the floor with a lit cigarette in his hand. The fire produced a lot of smoke. The body was released for burial by the public prosecutor's office in Graz.
