Kicked in the face?
29-year-old found motionless in paddock
A terrible accident at a riding stable in Fritzens in the Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land: a 29-year-old woman was found unconscious. There are suspicions as to the circumstances, but no certainty.
What is certain is that the young woman was seriously injured in the head area while working at the riding stables at around 9.55 am on Wednesday. A colleague of the 29-year-old found her after she heard a loud noise and went to investigate.
Work colleague called for help
The victim was lying motionless on the ground in a paddock. The colleague immediately set the rescue chain in motion and the injured woman was flown by helicopter to Innsbruck Hospital.
Police cannot rule out a kick
Due to the situation at the scene of the accident, it cannot be ruled out that a horse may have kicked out in the paddock and hit the 29-year-old in the facial area. Further investigations are underway.
