“Like fine wine”: BVB digs up old PSG tweet
Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint-Germain 1:0 (aggregate score: 2:0) on Tuesday evening to reach the final of the Champions League. The Black & Yellows' social media department took the opportunity to dig up an old tweet from the Parisians.
Background: In 2020, PSG had managed to beat Dortmund 3-2 at home in the round of 16 after a 2-1 draw in the first leg. Following the heated match, the French champions posted a picture showing the players meditating. "... and breathe," the club captioned the tweet.
Four years later, the winner is Borussia Dortmund - and on X (formerly Twitter), BVB is also 1:1, commenting on the tweet with a cheeky "tastes like good wine". The top German club took a long time to respond to the Parisians' post, but just like red wine, the return favor often tastes better if you let it mature for a few years.
