Strange discovery during the renovation of a tobacconist’s!

On Friday, an electrician made an astonishing discovery during renovation work in a Viennese tobacconist's: an old Kronen Zeitung newspaper was lying behind a wall.

Hidden under dust and plaster, an electrician in Vienna's 16th district found an issue of the Kronen Zeitung from 1939.

The discovery amazed not only the electrician, but also the owner of the tobacconist's shop. The electrician handed his find over to the owner of the tobacconist's, who is now considering displaying part of the newspaper in the shop.
