Motorcyclist crashed into tree trunk in Tyrol
A motorcycle trip ended in hospital for a German biker (44) on Saturday. The man was seriously injured when he crashed into a tree trunk in Kössen in Tyrol (Kitzbühel district).
The 44-year-old from Rosenheim was driving along the B176 Kössener Straße towards St. Johann in Tirol at around midday when he veered off the road to the right in a right-hand bend for an as yet unexplained reason. The motorcycle then collided with a tree stump and then crashed into a tree trunk.
Fractured ribs and thigh
The German was seriously injured in the accident. A biker following behind alerted the emergency services. The crew of the emergency helicopter "C4" flew the seriously injured man to the hospital in Rosenheim. There, the doctors diagnosed that the 44-year-old had broken a thigh and several ribs.
