Mario Eustacchio is back in Graz City Hall

After resigning as deputy mayor of the state capital in the wake of the FPÖ financial scandal, Mario Eustacchio returned to the Graz City Council today.

His appearance had been eagerly awaited: Eustacchio arrived at the town hall shortly before 1 pm and spoke the pledge of allegiance after the start of the municipal council meeting. The swearing-in by Municipal Director Martin Haidvogel took place under a storm of flashing lights, there were no interruptions, only timid applause.

The ex-FPÖ leader from Graz greeted the city councillors on the podium, only refusing to shake hands with KFG councillor Claudia Schönbacher.
