Tuchel successor at Bayern? Now Emery is speaking

Following Julian Nagelsmann's rejection - he remains German national coach - FC Bayern have apparently put Unai Emery on their list of candidates for the coaching position that will become vacant in the summer. The Spaniard himself has now commented on the interest from Munich. 

The Aston Villa coach told the British daily newspaper: "I am 100 percent focused here." And thus also says no to Bayern ...

Emery has been in charge of the Villans since November 2022 and the Birmingham club are currently in a sensational fourth place in the Premier League. It's only logical that one or two top clubs are taking notice of the 52-year-old.

Search continues
Emery remains loyal to Aston Villa, however, and FC Bayern must continue to look for a replacement for Thomas Tuchel, who will pack his bags at the end of the season. The search is proving to be extremely slow so far, with Julian Nageslmann, Xabi Alonso (staying at Leverkusen) and Ralf Rangnick (remaining as Austrian team manager) turning down one offer after another in the mailbox at Säbener Straße.
