Bayern’s Mathys Tel warms up with ball jacks
That's one way to warm up - provided you can find a ball boy who can pass the ball as well as the young man Mathys Tel passed the ball back and forth to during Bayern's 1-0 win over Arsenal.
With the score at 0-0, Tel was sent to the touchline shortly after the restart to prepare for a possible appearance against the Gunners. It came in handy for the young Frenchman that a ball boy agreed to hold the ball in the air together with the striker.
The television broadcast showed the two of them casually passing the ball to each other, with the ball changing hands flawlessly after two contacts.
As Joshua Kimmich headed Bayern into the lead a few minutes later, there was no need for Tel to get involved, but the 18-year-old attacking player will have been delighted to advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League. And the ball boy will have enjoyed an unforgettable evening in Munich's Allianz Arena.
