“New adventure”: Ferrari driver as ice cream vendor

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has launched his own ice cream brand, which will be available in Italian supermarkets in the future. Despite his "new adventure", the Monegasque wants to continue to focus on his "true passion". Meanwhile, he has a special offer for his future team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

"Ice cream has always been an important part of my life," explains Leclerc in an Instagram video in which he presents his new ice cream brand and continues: "It's a new adventure for me." Nevertheless, he wants to continue to focus on his career as a racing driver.

The name of the brand "LEC" also shows how much this "true passion" of the Monegasque is linked to the enjoyment of ice cream. "In the 2000s, only the first three letters of the drivers' surnames were listed in the F1 rankings. That's how I came up with the idea, it reminds me of the time when I was young and followed Formula 1 and dreamed of being a champion," Leclerc emphasizes to the "Gazzetta dello Sport".

Meanwhile, things are also going according to plan on the race track. The 26-year-old has already impressed in the still young season and is currently in third place in the drivers' standings. He can also look forward to having a prominent team-mate soon. As is well known, Lewis Hamilton will be doing his laps in a Ferrari from the coming season.

The two have already set their sights on a joint project, as Leclerc reveals: "We talked about it last time on the racetrack! He has developed this new soft drink and I have ice cream. So when he arrives at Ferrari one day, we'll celebrate with my ice cream and his drink."
