Despite the fine weather, Carinthians were drawn to the leisure fair over the past three days. Many had come especially to find out about Carinthia's mountain hiking offers.  

Carinthia's mountain hiking guides presented their tours, and Hanna Lerchbaumer from the Mölltal valley inspired visitors with her knowledge of mountain herbs, while Hans Goldberger and Roland Stadler presented the incredible range of pilgrimages on offer. The Tagliamento tours organized by former Carinthian governor Gerhard Dörfler are already fully booked for the time being: "We are already looking for additional dates, because everyone should have the chance to experience the untamed and beautiful Alpine river." For the Carinthian trade fairs, the leisure fair went even better than expected. "We thought the beautiful weather would throw a spanner in the works," says Managing Director Bernhard Erler. But with 41,000 visitors, slightly fewer than last year, the organizers are "more than satisfied."

Exhibitors are satisfied
And the 450 exhibitors were also delighted. "Not only did we provide advice, we also sold really well," said Brigitte Scharf from Intersport and car dealer Max Aichlsberger. The outdoor caterers had their hands full. "The weather was perfect for us, because people enjoyed the sun!" says host Michael Jammer.
