Bike collided with car: both drivers drunk

A car driver and a bicycle driver were drunk when they had an accident in Villach. A woman who was knocked down by a stranger in St. Veit was also drunk.

From a petrol station in Neu-Feffernitz near Paternion, a 55-year-old car driver drove onto the Drautal Bundesstraße on Saturday evening, where a cyclist (39) was riding. The two vehicles collided, the cyclist fell and was injured and taken to Villach Regional Hospital.

The driver's license was confiscated: The alcohol test was positive. The cyclist was also under the influence of alcohol.

At around 2.15 am on Sunday, a 33-year-old woman suffered injuries to the back of her head in St. Veit: she claimed to have been hit on the head with a hard object by a stranger in Ossiacher Straße. The injured woman was treated at Klagenfurt Hospital. It has not yet been possible to establish the circumstances of the incident, as both the victim and witnesses were under the influence of alcohol.
