New Carinthian novel
Crime novel: Three murders at Hochosterwitz Castle
Following his bestseller, successful author Andreas Pittler has now written a second novel.
In the crime novel "Kärntner Finale", the two detectives Oblitschnig and Popatnig were still investigating in their home town of Ferlach. But that wasn't enough for author Andreas Pittler. "I thought about how I could get the two of them to investigate all over Carinthia," explains the successful author in an interview with the "Krone" newspaper. That's why the duo from the Rosental valley are also given a position at the provincial criminal investigation department in Pittler's latest novel "Kärntner Ritterspiel". "And Obiltschnig and Popatnig are promptly called to a murder case at Hochosterwitz Castle," says Pittler, who landed a bestseller with his first book - the first crime novel even had to be reprinted.
What is the new novel about?
In their latest case, the Ferlach investigative duo have to solve three murders at once. Three dead stall holders are found at Hochosterwitz Castle shortly before a medieval market.
But why Hochosterwitz Castle of all places? "It's one of the most beautiful things in Carinthia and has a wide appeal beyond the state borders," explains Pittler, who would like to send his two investigators on a Carinthia-wide journey in future.
