Ajax must look for a new coach in the summer

Dutch soccer record champions Ajax Amsterdam are looking for a new head coach. John van't Schip is stepping down at the end of the season and will instead take on another role at the club in consultation with the club's top management.

 "That's something for several years. We have to see exactly what role that will be," said the 60-year-old at the press conference ahead of the away game against FC Zwolle on Easter Sunday.

The 1988 European champion took over the crisis-ridden Ajax team last October as interim coach following the dismissal of Maurice Steijn, with Amsterdam currently in fifth place in the Eredivisie.
