Stabbing while drunk: Lungau man charged

The accused allegedly stabbed his drinking buddy in the neck while drunk. He was only recently released. 

The "Krone" already reported on the case: It is about a stabbing in the course of an alcohol-soaked party in an apartment in Muhr in Lungau, which happened on December 2nd. The accused and the victim had drunk several bottles of beer together - both were also heavily intoxicated as a result. The 55-year-old is said to have stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife - after which he immediately called the ambulance and administered first aid. The man from Lungau was recently released from custody in exchange for lenient measures.

The public prosecutor's office is now charging him with intentional grievous bodily harm. A trial date has not yet been set. The accused is being defended by lawyer Kurt Jelinek.
