Frank Stronach mourns the death of his wife Frieda (81)

Multi-entrepreneur and billionaire Frank Stronach mourns the death of his wife Frieda. The 81-year-old died on March 26. 

They were married for 60 years, but Frieda Stronach was happy to leave the public spotlight to her husband. Born in Weiz, she was considered down-to-earth and reserved. 

"I don't want to be in the spotlight"
"I'm rooting for Frank, but I don't want to be in the limelight," she said when she visited the Krone in 2013 on the occasion of her husband's political engagement.

Frieda passed away on Thursday, as reported by the Kleine Zeitung newspaper. Frank Stronach himself celebrated his 90th birthday in 2022, when he gave one of his rare interviews to the "Krone": "I was looking for a wife with whom I could have children. There are several loves in a life. Even the one that lasts forever. Frieda always knew I had to be free. But I am reliable and look out for people," said the billionaire about his wife at the time.

Frieda Stronach is survived by her husband Frank, her two children Belinda and Andrew and three grandchildren.
